a.b.c. Pianos are a family owned and operated business run by Eddie & Mandy Tichelaar. They have been supplying quality upright and grand pianos to customers that include Students, Teachers, Music Schools and Professional Pianists this also includes clients such as the Hospitality Industry to the Entertainment, Recording and Film Industry including Interstate and Overseas Artists since 1973.

Eddie's career in the piano industry began at the very early age of seven, as he assisted his father John, regularly within the piano business. In 1982 he officially became a partner of a.b.c. Pianos. Eddie has a vast knowledge of pianos and has learnt the technical side of pianos from many qualified tuner/technicians within the industry, as well as courses at the Preston TAFE piano technology department.

Mandy studied music from a very early age and is a gifted woodwind player with piano as her second instrument. She began her teaching career at the Dandenong Ranges Music Council at the age of 15, running a teenage woodwind group. Mandy also played in various groups and gave solo performances. Her business career began in an accounts department of a large international company where she learnt the finer points of business management before joining a.b.c. Pianos in 1993.
