LIFETIME Warranty
Pianos First honours a Lifetime Warranty on registered new Alex.Steinbach pianos. This is a unique attribute because other piano manufacturers generally only offer between 5-10 years warranty, which usually cannot be transferred.
Your authorised Alex.Steinbach dealer will present you with your own personal Lifetime Warranty booklet at the time of purchase. Subject to the terms of the warranty, the Lifetime Warranty covers all manufacturing or material defects for the lifetime of the original purchaser.
On the rare occasion that a warranty problem does occur, Pianos First will cover the cost of repair, including the cost of all parts, freight of parts and labour. If the piano is irreparable Pianos First will provide a replacement piano.
To ensure that your Lifetime Warranty remains valid you will need to have the piano tuned by an Alex.Steinbach Preferred Piano Tuner/Technician at least once a year and record any maintenance in the Lifetime Warranty booklet or by downloading additional tuning record sheets.
WARRANTY for Second Hand Pianos
The Lifetime Warranty is valid for the lifetime of the original purchaser. Should you decide to sell your piano in the future, there is a transferable warranty called the 10/75 Warranty. This covers manufacturing defects for ten years and the soundboard for seventy-five years from the original date of purchase for any Alex.Steinbach piano that has been resold. (Warranties valid within Australia only). Please notify Pianos First within fourteen days if there is a transfer of ownership.Alex.Steinbach warranties do not include: (pls make the following text collapsible)

WHAT if my piano has problems?
If you experience a recurring problem, firstly speak to your Alex.Steinbach Preferred Piano Tuner/Technician or the authorised dealer from whom you purchased the instrument. They will be able to assess the problem and let you know whether or not it is covered under warranty. If the store or tuner deems it to be a warranty issue they should contact the Pianos First for warranty repair approval. Once approval is received the technician will repair the piano and send a tax invoice to Pianos First to arrange payment. Before making a decision, Pianos First may require an Alex.Steinbach Preferred Piano Tuner/Technician to inspect the piano and provide a report. You may also be required to send written proof to Pianos First that your piano has been tuned at least once a year by an authorised tuner.
If you would like an Alex.Steinbach Preferred Tuner/Technician to perform your annual tuning, or require someone to assess a recurring problem in your piano, please fill in a Servicing Request Form or Contact us.
